Welcome and Congratulations to the first day of the rest of your life!

If you feel nervous, scared or a little intimidated, no problem. Many people feel that way initially. Just don’t let it stop you from coming to class. This yoga series is designed for beginners, so know that with a little practice and experience, you’ll quickly feel right at home.

Come with an open mind and heart.  Yoga is much more than physical exercise.  The yoga will transform you like no other form of exercise and will help you both physically and mentally.

Arrive Early

For your first class, please arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to class start time. This allows us to register you and give you an orientation.  All new students must read and sign a waiver-release form before admittance.

Please be On Time

No late arrivals, the lobby door is locked once class begins.

No reservations necessary.  Plan to stay in the class the entire time. No early dismissal to keep the flow of the class.

What to Wear

The room is hot and you will sweat a lot! It's best to wear clothes designed for this type of environment, avoiding cotton or fabrics that become heavy when wet.  Wear the least amount of clothing you are comfortable in.  Clothes that offer a snug fit are best as they allow for optimal movement while also maintaining coverage.  We strongly urge you to wear clothes that will allow you to see your knee in the front mirror. 

Women - Light exercise clothing such as sport bra, tank top, or shorts.  Men – yoga shorts or cycling style shorts.  Avoid long pants, long sleeve, cotton or other heavy t-shirts.  Please do not practice in undergarments or swimwear. 

Food

Yoga is best done on an empty stomach. Being well hydrated is also advised.

  • Do not eat for at least 2-3 hours prior to class. 
  • Drink plenty of water the day of class. It's advised to minimize water intake the hour prior to class to allow the bladder to be empty when class starts.
  • If you're coming in the early morning, hydrate well the night before.

Bring

Bring large towels, bottle of water (No Glass), and yoga mat.  We have lockers to store your keys, cellphones, etc. in the lockers as they will not be allowed in the classroom.  However, you must bring your own lock.  If you forget something, these items are available for sale/rental. Mat and towel are required. 

Hydrate

Drink plenty of water throughout the day so that you're well hydrated before coming to class.

Age Limit

We welcome anyone age 15 and older with Parent or Guardian.  Please note that any student under age 18 must have a parent /legal guardian sign the consent form in person at the front desk.

Don't be intimidated or nervous.  We were all new at one point.  In no time you'll feel right at home.  

Come back! Take your second class within 24 hours. Make up your mind to come back tomorrow! We recommend minimum 10 classes per month for maximum benefit.
